ATH Booker is in play

Grayslake (Ill.) North junior athlete prospect Titus Booker (6-foot-0, 175 pounds) has sprinters speed and can play all over the field. Booker talks about his recent Iowa camp visit and much more in this recruiting update.
"I went to both the Iowa one day camp and I also went to the Northwestern Showcase camp this summer," Booker said. "Both camps went well and the feedback from the college coaches has been very positive."

Booker felt he made the strongest impression at the Iowa camp.
"The Iowa camp went really well. I like the coaches at Iowa and they said that they like my speed and that I'm a strong athlete. I was able to work at quarterback, defensive back and wide receiver. They feel I'm more of an athlete prospect and I feel the same way when it comes to a position. I'll play anywhere on the field and it's not a big issue for me. Iowa wants me to come back on July 26th and 27th for a longer visit. I'll get a chance to sit down with the coaches, take a full tour of the campus and just get to know the Iowa football program better."
Booker has just a handful of schools recruiting him for now.
"Besides Iowa I still stay in touch with the coaches at Northwestern. I felt I had a good camp at Northwestern and the coaches also said they liked my speed. Illinois State made a spring in school visit and they have shown some interest."
Booker, a state track qualifier in the 100 meters (ran 10.83 this past spring) is also expecting to wear several hats for the Knights in 2013.
"I'm going to be playing in a lot of different spots on the field for my team this season. I'll see some time at quarterback, running back and at defensive back. We've been working in team camp this summer and I'm excited for our team and for the season to get here."
Does Booker have any dream schools?
"I'm a Midwest guy and I like a lot of the Big Ten schools. Northwestern is pretty close to home and they are a big favorite in my area. I also like Iowa and Illinois and the Big Ten schools would be my dream schools."
