Bigger is better

Bolingbrook (Ill.) junior defensive end recruit Micah Dew-Treadway (6-foot-3, 276 pounds) seems to be a different looking recruit every day. Dew-Treadway has added some height, weight and strength this summer and talks about his latest recruiting news here.
"I'm just focusing on my team and practices for now," Dew-Treadway said. "I've also been learning to play some defensive tackle this season. The coaches want me to learn and play both positions and that's been going pretty well."

Dew-Treadway also continues to grow physically this summer.
"My head coach (John Ivlow) jokes with me all the time and asks me what my shoe size is today (15) since it seems to change all the time. I'm up to almost 6-foot-5 and I know I'm a bit over 280 pounds. My coaches feel that the colleges are going to want to see me play both defensive end and defensive tackle and they feel I can end up playing defensive tackle in college. I'm totally open to playing any position at my school and in college."
Dew-Treadway is hoping to get out to see some college games this fall.
"I'm going to try to go to some games closer to home to start. I'm looking at seeing games at Illinois when they play Ohio State and Northwestern. I'm also going to call Mississippi State soon and we are talking about going down to a game this fall."
