Buchanan adds his first two offers

Aurora (Ill.) West Aurora junior running back/athlete recruit Jaquan Buchanan (5-foot-9, 165 pounds) was able to add his first two offers this spring. Buchanan checks in and fills us in on his latest offers and more in this recruiting update.

"I was able to add my first two offers over the past week or so," Buchanan said. "My first offer came from Missouri Western (D2) and a few days ago I added another offer from Northern Michigan (D2)."

Buchanan filled us in on his initial impressions of both Missouri Western and Northern Michigan.

"It's great to add my first two offers from those schools. Once they offered I started looking into each school online. Both schools look to have nice schools and facilities, I'll definitely look harder at each school soon and I'm going to try to visit them as well this summer."

Buchanan has also begun to see several college coaches in school this spring.

"We've been seeing a lot of college coaches in school over the past few weeks. So far the coaches from North Dakota have been in school along with the coaches from Illinois State, Wofford, Cornell, Ball State, North Dakota State and a bunch of other coaches. Some of the coaches watch our morning workouts and at other times they come into school and talk to my coaches."

Has Buchanan started to look at his upcoming summer camp plans?

"I'm already set to go to the Lindenwood megacamp on June 2nd. I'm also looking at going to the North Central College camp along with getting out to Cornell for a camp."

Buchanan, who is also running track at West Aurora this spring is also eyeing his upcoming senior season.

"I'm tired of getting knocked out in the first round and I think everyone involved in our program feels the same way. I think we really are making strides this off season. Everyone has been very dedicated and working and lifting hard. We all want it just as bad and I'm excited for the season."
