St. Charles (Ill.) North (1-1) junior defensive back recruit Tyler Nubin (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) has started to draw another round of college attention since the reopening of the open recruiting period on September 1st. Nubin also has a few upcoming visits planed and recaps his latest recruiting interest here.
"The season has been going Ok so far," Nubin said. "We won our first game but just lost a tough game on Friday to Bolingbrook. Overall I feel good about how I've played so far but it's back to work this week and time to get a win this week against Larkin."
Nubin, who is playing cornerback and wide receiver for the North Stars this season recapped his latest recruiting news.
"I have offers from both Central Michigan and Illinois State. I've started to hear from more and more schools since September 1st. I've been in touch with Northwestern, Illinois, Syracuse, Wyoming, NIU, Michigan, Iowa State and also Michigan State. Most of the coaches just want to start to get to know me better and they also have started mentioning me coming to visit them sometime soon."
Does Nubin have any game day visits planned?
"I'm going to visit Illinois this Saturday when they play Western Kentucky. I'm also going to visit Northwestern the following weekend when they play Bowling Green. Those are the only two visits I have planned for now but I'm hoping to get out to see a few more schools this season."
So has Nubin, who's a strong student in the classroom, given any thought towards what he's looking for in a potential school?
"I'm looking for a college that offers a good education and strong academics. I'm also looking for a college with a strong coaching staff and I'm also looking at staying a bit closer to home. I'm still just very open to any schools who want to recruiting me."
Does Nubin have a dream school?
"I really don't have any one specific dream school. I'm just hoping to find a school that is the best fit for me."
Tyler Nubin has scholarship offers from Central Michigan and Illinois State.
