DE Ezell checks in

LaGrange Park (IL) Lyons Township senior defensive end prospect Andrew Ezell (6-foot-2, 255 pounds) has been working hard and getting ready for his upcoming senior season. Ezell checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news and more here.

"This summer has been going really well for our team," Ezell said. "Everything seems to be clicking for us and I can't wait for the season to get here."

Ezell recapped his latest recruiting news.

"I wasn't able to get out to really any of the college camps because I ended up getting injured at a local showcase camp. I've been staying in touch with a lot of schools this summer. I've been in touch with the coaches from Illinois State, North Dakota State, NIU, Western Michigan, Northern Iowa plus Indiana State and some smaller schools like Wisconsin Whitewater. They all want to see my early senior tape so they can get a better evaluation of me."

Does Ezell set any sort of personal goals heading into the season?

"I just try to stay motivated both on and off the field. I want to just get my team involved and more focused. I've also tried to become more of a leader for my team this off-season."

Ezell has also been training hard for a new role this coming season.

"I'm planning to play on both sides of the football this season. I've been training a bit harder than usual and I'll get a chance to play some tight end and some fullback as well as at defensive end. I'm excited to have a bigger role this season and I like being as versatile as I can."
