DE Green-May adds first offer

Bolingbrook (Ill.) junior defensive end recruit Izayah Green-May (6-foot-6, 210 pounds) was able to add his first scholarship offer on Monday when Bowling Green extended a verbal offer.

"Bowling Green just offered me a few minutes ago," Green-May added on Monday afternoon. "I knew they had been in school but other than that I didn't know they were going to offer."

Green-May, who saw playing time in 2015 for the Raiders and head coach John Ivlow at defensive end and some outside linebacker talked about adding his first offer from the BGSU Falcons.

"I was able to call back the coaches and they talked about what BGSU has to offer. I know that they won the MAC the past two years and that they have a good program. I haven't visited them yet but I plan to go see them in person sometime. It's pretty exciting to get my first offer. I was hoping it would come sometime but now that it has it's pretty exciting.""

Green-May has also been drawing some early recruiting looks from a handful of schools.

"I've been hearing from Iowa State, Purdue, Michigan State, Duke, Penn State and now BGSU. They have all been sending mail and they have all invited me to Junior day events."

Green-May also has an early favorite school.

"I've visited Michigan State twice already. I went for a game last season and I really liked it. They have a great campus and facilities. I also have a good relationship with the MSU coaches and defensive line coach Ron Burton. They haven't offered me yet but they have been really interested. I would say for now they are my early favorite."

Izayah Green-May has a scholarship offer from Bowling Green State University.
