DT Lee stands out

LaGrange Park (IL) Nazareth Academy junior defensive tackle prospect Isaiah Lee (6-foot-2, 280 pounds) was one of the top overall performers from Monday's EDGYTIM Underclassmen Showcase powered by EFT Football Academy. Lee talks about his performance along with his latest recruiting news in this update.

"The showcase camps this past weekend went well for me," Lee said. "I just wanted to try to get my name out there and to get some work in."

Lee filled us in on his latest recruiting news.

"It's been pretty quiet to be honest. A few college coaches have started to follow me on Twitter like Arkansas, Central Michigan and Illinois but outside of those schools not much else so far. I camped last summer at Illinois and I also went to the Lake Park satellite camp that had a bunch of school."

Lee who started his high school career at St. Joseph before transferring to Nazareth Academy recapped his 2016 junior year.

"After sitting out a season the year before because of the transfer I just didn't have that game experience heading into last year. It took me a few games to really get comfortable and back in the groove. I feel so much better now and I've never been more ready to get back out and play."

Lee talked about his strengths on the field and his winter plans.

"I have pretty good hands and I try to use my quickness. I was able to add some good weight and my overall power and strength is better. I also work hard on my moves and can use those moves to my advantage. I worked a lot with my teammate Devonte Dunn (Toledo commit) and he really helped me a lot. I'm just working this winter on more pass rush moves and I just want to read and react better along with improving my speed and strength."
