DT Shannon reopens his recruiting

Oswego (Ill.) Lyons Township senior three star ranked defensive tackle recruit Noah Shannon (6-foot-2, 290 pounds) recently decided to back off his earlier verbal commitment to Minnesota and has re-opened his recruiting process. Shannon talks about his decision and what''s next in this update.

"I wanted to go on a few more college visits to make sure I did make the right decision," Shannon said. "I didn't want to have any regrets about rushing into a decision. I also want to see more schools in person and learn more about them."

While Shannon has reopened his college choice, he still remains in steady contact with the Minnesota staff.

"I still stay in touch with the Minnesota staff and head coach PJ Fleck almost every day. I'm also going to camp at North Central College next week since the Minnesota staff will be working that camp."

Shannon is also planning to visit more schools in person starting later this week at Iowa.

"I'm going to visit Iowa sometime this week and go one a full campus tour. I've been on a few visits to Iowa but everything so far has been football related. I'm also planning on getting out to visit Indiana, Missouri and also Arkansas this summer for visits."

Noah Shannon has multiple scholarship offers.
