Homewood (Ill.) Flossmoor senior inside linebacker recruit Mario Wright (6-foot-2, 215 pounds) has been focused on his team this summer along with looking harder at his recruiting and college options. Wright II checks in and discusses his latest recruiting news here.
"Lately we've been working hard in team camp," Wright II said. "I'm really excited about this team and I can't wait to get our season going."
Wright II also recapped his latest recruiting news.
"I'be been looking harder at everything. I'm still not 100 percent sure but it could also be coming to a close soon. I would say that I'm a slight lean right now to NIU. Once Jeff (Griffin) decided to commit to NIU I've been looking harder at NIU. NIU is close to home and I also know a lot of people who are going to NIU already."
Wright II who has a Top 6 schools list wants to see a few schools in person soon.
"I still need to get back out to NIU for a visit. I didn't get to really see any of the campus when I went up for the camp. I want to see the campus and also get a chance to learn more about the academic side at NIU. I'm also looking at also getting out to visit Western Kentucky. Western Kentucky is in my Top 6 and is one of the schools I haven't seen in person. Western Kentucky is a good program and online it also looks like a nice school."
So when could Wright II make his college decision?
"I'm hoping to get out to make those visits around the 4th of July. We have a break from team camp and I'll get to NIU first then Western Kentucky."
Mario Wright II has multiple scholarship offers.
