LB Mueller remains in demand

Wheaton (Ill.) North junior outside linebacker recruit Xander Mueller (6-foot-3, 205 pounds) already has an early offer from Kent State and is a highly impressive name to watch in the growing Class of 2020. Mueller checks in and recaps his latest football recruiting news in this update.

"I'm in the middle of basketball season these days," Mueller said. "My football recruiting has been going pretty well and I've been keeping track on my recruiting as well."

Mueller recapped his latest recruiting news, along with discussing adding his first offer from Kent State, which he picked up this past summer.

"I added my offer from Kent State last summer. The coaches from Kent State saw me at the Northwestern camp. I went to a game at Kent State earlier this fall and it was a good experience. Kent State is a nice school and I really like the coaches at Kent State as well. I stay in touch with them on a regular basis. I also went to college games at Michigan State, Northwestern, NIU, Minnesota and Cincinnati and all of those game day visits went well. We've also seen the coaches from NIU in school along with the coaches from Yale, Penn and also Illinois. Those coaches have said that I'm a prospect for them and for me to stay in touch with them this winter. I've also have gotten a lot of mail lately from Toledo and Wisconsin and they have invited me to go to junior day events."

Mueller discussed what part of his game needs to improve this off season.

"I need to add more strength this off-season. I'm pretty good at making plays outside the tackles but I need to add a bit more power when I make plays inside. Once basketball season is over I'm going right back into the weight room to lift and get stronger."

Xander Mueller has a scholarship offer from Kent State.
