LB Rosenthal has options

Winnetka (Ill.) New Trier senior inside linebacker prospect Max Rosenthal (6-foot-3, 230 pounds) has been weighting his various college options this winter. Rosenthal checks in and discusses his latest recruiting news, visits plans and much more here.

"My recruiting has been going pretty good," Rosenthal said. "I'm also just working out. lifting and getting ready for a bus January."

Rosenthal added a recent scholarship offer from Bowling Green.

"My latest offer came from Bowling Green a few days ago. Bowling Green likes me as more of an H back and I've stayed in touch with them on and off a bit over the last few weeks. BGSU wants me to come out and take an official visit so I'm sure I'll set up a visit sometime in January."

Rosenthal is looking at taking three January official visits.

"I haven't set up the actual dates for my official visits just yet but I'm planning to get that done soon. I'm planning to make official visits to Air Force, Bowling Green and also Michigan State. Michigan State has remained in touch and they are recruiting me as more of a fullback for them."

Rosenthal is looking hard at three very separate and different college situations.

"It really is three very different types of schools and settings for sure. Michigan State is a Big Ten school that offers great Big Ten level football. Bowling Green is in the MAC and also offers a different level and experience. Air Force is also a unique service academy experience and a great education and a career type of decision. I'm definitely going to rely on my official visits to help me sort it all out."

So what is Rosenthal looking for when he begins to make his January official visits?

"Academics are a big part of my decision process so I want to get a better idea on what each school has to offer. From the football side I want to get to know the coaches better at each school also also learn more about my role on the team and the expectations the coaches have for me."

Rosenthal has been looking harder into Air Force and all that goes into committing to a service academy.

"Air Forcer is a huge decision no question about it, yet it's also very intriguing to me. It's a big challenge at Air Force yet I also loved it on my visit in October. Air Force just has a lot to offer and I was just really impressed with the people at Air Force. I really, really like Air Force and they really have me thinking about them quite a bit these days.
