Marinko makes his college choice

Edwardsville (Ill.) senior All State quarterback Dan Marinko (6-foot-2, 175 pounds) made two official visits this past week and on Sunday made his college choice. Marinko talks about his decision here.
"I gave Central Missouri (D2) my verbal commitment," Marinko said. "I visited both Northwest Missouri State last week for an official visit and it came down to them and Central Missouri."

Marinko, who was an All State player for the Tigers in 2014 talked about why he pledged to the Central Missouri Mules.
"Central Missouri has done some amazing upgrades to the facilities over the past few years. Head coach Jim Svoboda has a history of producing and developing quarterbacks. I also like the school setting and it felt like home. I can tell they are already on the verge of going to the next level and competing for a championship. I love the challenge of trying to be a part of leading the program to a championship. Central Missouri also offers a great business program and that was another big factor for me."
Marinko admitted that calling Northwest Missouri State today was a hard call for him to make.
"The hardest part of the recruiting process was calling up the coaches at Northwest Missouri State and telling them my decision. I had built up a great relationship with them. I just feel a lot of relief now that it's over and I can now focus on basketball and the rest of my senior year."
Dan Marinko is verbally committed to Central Missouri.
