New camp offers for DB Shine

Chicago (Ill.) St. Rita senior defensive back recruit Kempton Shine (5-foot-11, 176 pounds) has already made a few college summer one day camps and Shine has walked away with a handful of new offers. Shine checks in and recaps his recent camps, offers and more here.

"The college camps have been going good," Shine said. "I've been able to add offers recently from NIU, Eastern Michigan and Western Illinois and a lot of newer schools have started to notice me this summer."

Shine recapped his performances from the Lindenwood Megacamp and the recent Sound Mind Sound Body camps.

"At the Lindenwood Camp I thought I did pretty well. I ran a good 40 time, It was a really hot day down there but outside of that it was a really good camp for me. I had the coaches from Iowa State, Bowling Green and a bunch of D2 schools talk to me at the camp. The Sound Mind Sound Body camp at Grand Valley State was another good camp. I added my Eastern Michigan offer at that camp and I was also talking with the coaches from Iowa, Michigan, Toledo and also Bowling Green again."

Shine also has a few more college one day camps on his upcoming schedule.

"I'm going to the North Central College Showcase camp this week and then I'm heading to Memphis on Sunday for another mega camp. I'm sure I'll also go visit a few schools this summer. I definitely want to go see Eastern Michigan and WIU soon. I've been to NIU a few times already and I might go visit them again."

Shine is also getting excited for his upcoming St. Rita team camp.

"We start our team camp on June 11th and I can't wait to get back with my team. We have a chance to have a really good season and everyone is excited to get back to work."

Kempton Shine has scholarship offers from NIU, Eastern Michigan, WIU, SIU, North Dakota State, North Dakota, Eastern Kentucky and Indiana State.
