Norenberg commits to Harvard

Lincolnshire (Ill) Stevenson senior offensive linemen recruit Ean Norenberg (6-foot-4, 250 pounds) made a recent camp visit to Harvard and earlier this week gave the Crimson his verbal commitment. Norenberg discusses his decision here.

"I've always dreamed of going to school and playing for Harvard," Norenberg said. "When I was like 5 years old my parents used to ask me "Where are you going to college" and I would say "Harvard." My parents would then say "Who's going to pay for it" and I would say "Grandpa and Grandma". Now my grandparents won't be paying for it but my family is very happy and extremely proud."

Norenberg, who made an extensive tour of colleges in the New England area this summer before committing to Harvard discussed why he decided to commit to the Crimson.

"I went to a camp at Yale, then visited Dartmouth, camped at MIT and then finally camped at Harvard. I visited Harvard back in April so this was my second visit to see them. Harvard really recruited me the hardest out of every school and made me feel like I was a priority for them. Harvard is just the perfect place to challenge me both academically and athletically. I'll get to play Division 1 football and also get the greatest education in the world. I've always have been driven student academically and I just fell in love with Harvard."

Norenberg is also thrilled to have made his college decision.

"It's still just an amazing feeling to be committed to Harvard. I'm just excited to now focus on my senior season and enjoy my senior season."

Ean Norenberg is verbally committed to Harvard.
