OL Glazier adds his first offer
Oak Park (IL) Fenwick junior offensive tackle prospect Austin Glazier (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) was able to add his first scholarship offer recently from in-state Southern Illinois University. Glazier talks about landing his first offer and more here.
"I was able to add my first offer from SIU," Glazier said. "The offer sort of came out of nowhere to be honest but it feels great,"
Glazier discussed his thoughts on adding his first offer from the SIU Salukis.
"I had been in touch with Coach (Trevor) Olsen a few weeks ago then the SIU coaches came into school and then they offered me. I have a lot of family connection to SIU. My Dad went to SZIU and my grandpa also played football at SIU. I was only down to SIU once when I was a little kid, so I'm going to go back for a visit in April for a spring practice ."
Glazier also made a few recent on campus unofficial visits.
"I went and made visits to both Miami of Ohio and Central Michigan, Both visits I thought went well and I also had a chance to talk to some of the coaches at each school. I was also invited out to Bowling Green for a Junior Day this Saturday and I'm planning to visit them"
Glazier has continued to draw new recruiting contacts.
"Illinois and Minnesota have been in touch recently. So has Columbia, Colgate and Cornell."
Austin Glazier has a scholarship offer from Southern Illinois University.
