Olges starting to see new visitors

Winnetka (Ill.) New Trier (3-2) junior athlete prospect Duke Olges (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) is back in off season mode and is also back in the weight room training for next season. Olges has also checked out several schools this fall along with starting to see more college coaches making in school visits.

"I'm back at it in the weight room and training for next season," Olges said. "I also was able to get out to see some schools plus I'm also staying in touch with several coaches."

Olges recapped his recent college game day visits and recruiting news here.

"I had a chance to go visit Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan State and Minnesota. Illinois wanted me to also visit but I just couldn't get out to see them so I'm hoping to visit Illinois soon. I've stayed in touch with the coaches from Michigan State, Notre Dame, Minnesota, Northwestern and Western Michigan. They all seem interested and want me to stay in touch with them."

Olges has also started to see college coaches back in school this week.

"On Monday the Penn State coaches came into school for a quick visit. I know that Michigan State is also planning to be in school very soon. I really don't know who else is planning to stop in until they contact my coach (Brian Doll)."

Olges is also drawing recruiting interest at more than one position this fall.

"The coaches from Minnesota, Penn State and Notre Dame like me as a tight end. Northwestern and Michigan State feel I'm more of a defensive end. I'm pretty open to play anywhere and I'm looking more at how well I would git in at each schools. Position isn't a big deal to me."
