Paglialong recaps Iowa visit

Woodstock (Ill.) Marian Central Catholic junior offensive center prospect Thor Paglialong (6-foot-4, 260 pounds) was one of several Class of 2019 Land of Lincoln prospect who visited Iowa this past weekend for a Hawkeyes Junior Day event. Paglialong discusses his Iowa visit and much more in this update.

"Iowa was a really good experience," Paglialong said. "I just finished wrestling season and I'm back getting ready for lacrosse season, so I've been staying pretty busy."

Paglialong filled us in on his Iowa Junior Day impressions.

"Iowa was great. I camped at Iowa last summer for a linemen camp but this was my first real visit to Iowa as a recruit. I was able to see the campus and took a full tour of the campus along with seeing a lot of the facilities at Iowa. Iowa has a great campus and it's just a really good school. I didn't get a chance to talk with the Iowa coaches for very long because they had a lot of kids. I know that Iowa will be in school again this spring and they want me to remain in touch."

Paglialong has also been in touch with a handful of other schools this winter.

"Besides Iowa I've also been in touch with the coaches from Purdue and Illinois State. I was also able to visit Illinois State recently for a Junior Day visit and I'm also hoping to get out to see Purdue sometime soon."

Paglialong also filled us in on what he's working on to improve his game this off season.

"I've been focused on improving my overall lateral quickness along with just improving my overall pad level. I'm also always lifting and trying to get stronger and quicker."

Does Paglialong have a dream school?

"I would say that Nebraska is my dream school and I also really like Northwestern as well. Nebraska just has an amazing culture and a great football program with fan support."
