Pelland adds an NDSU offer
Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township junior defensive linemen recruit Zack Pelland (6-foot-4, 250 pounds) was able to add a new offer on Tuesday from North Dakota State. Pelland, who also made a Presidents Day campus visit to Miami of Ohio recaps his latest recruiting news here.
"I added an offer from North Dakota State today (Tuesday)," Pelland said. "I also went to Miami of Ohio on Monday for a visit and I had a very good visit."
Pelland, who carries an impressive 4.6 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) discussed adding his latest offer from FCS power North Dakota State.
"I don't know much about North Dakota State to be honest but I'm going to do more research on them soon. I like the coaches at NDSU including my recruiting coach (Joe Klanderman) plus I know that NDSU is a big time program that has won a lot of national championships. NDSU is looking at me as more on an inside guy on the defensive line for them. I've never been to North Dakota before but I'm going to try to go and visit them later this spirng. "
Pelland also recapped his Presidents Day visit to Miami of Ohio.
"I really liked it at Miami of Ohio. It's just a really nice school and I just like the overall message from the coaches and they all seem to be very genuine including head coach Chuck Martin. The coaches just seem to be very honest and straight forward. The facilities are like brand new and the campus was really nice. Miami of Ohio also offers strong academics which is a positive. They just hire a new defensive line coach so they haven't had a chance to really evaluate my video just yet. The coaches said they would look at my video soon and they also want me to stay in touch."
Pelland also has a few upcoming visits planned.
"I'm all set to visit Western Michigan on Saturday for Junior Day event. I'm also looking at getting out to the East Coast over my spring break and go see some Ivy League schools in person."
Zack Pelland has scholarship offers from Army and North Dakota State.
