EDGYTIM.com Week 10 Class 5A Top 10 poll

1. Peoria (8-1) (1)- OK so I picked the Lions to win it all in 5A on the IHSA Playoff Pairings Show. Yet I also like the team just below them here as well.

2. Sterling (9-0) (2)- The Golden Warriors might just have it's best path/chance to win 5A this year.

3. Morris (7-2) (4)- The Redskins also have a very nice path here. Beware of the Redskins.

4. Washington (7-2) (5)- The Panthers will not have an easy road and Peoria ND is a very tough opening draw.

5. Highland (8-1) (6)- The Bulldogs will have a rematch with Waterloo (14-3 win in Week 5). Am I the only one who hates Round 1 conference rematches?

6. Centralia (7-2) (8)- The Orphans will host Mahomet-Seymour on Saturday.

7. Nazareth Academy (5-4) (NR)- They just won't go away. And Naz very well could be here to stay.

8. Marian Central Catholic (5-4) (10)- Huge Week 9 win over St. Patrick to get in. The Hurricanes are as battle tested as anyone in 5A.

9. Geneseo (6-3) (NR)- Why rank the Leafs? Because they are Geneseo...that's why.

10. Sycamore (5-4) (NR)- Just like the other 5-4 teams I ranked here...The Spartans are as dangerous a 5-4 team than anyone else here.
