Poll: Week 8 Class 5A Top 10

1. Peoria (7-0) (1)- Not a big fan of the first half Lions, but I'm really a big fan of the second half Lions.

2. Sterling (7-0) (2)- Big win for Sterling over Rochelle. I'm still trying to come to grips with the Golden Warriors throwing 11 passes for almost 100 yards...in one game!

3. Rochelle (5-2) (3)- The Hubs come up short against Sterling on Friday.

4. Morris (5-2) (4)- The Redskins pick up a nice win over Kaneland and hopefully can build some momentum.

5. Washington (5-2) (6)- The Panthers get out of the gates quick in beating Pekin last Friday.

6. Highland (6-1) (10)- The Bulldogs now seem to have a leg up in the Mississippi Valley conference race.

7. Metamora (5-2) (5)- The Redbirds lose to Dunlap and will look to bounce back this week at Pekin.

8. Centralia (5-2) (7)- The Orphans lost to Marion and now look to get after Mt. Vernon this Friday.

9. Peoria Notre Dame (5-2) (9)- The Irish lose 51-49 on a last second Champaign Central field goal. Ugh.

10. Chicago Solorio (6-1) (NR)- Have the Sun Warriors played it's last game of the season? Chicago Teachers strike is looming this week.
