RB Arthurs has been drawing looks

Wheaton (Ill) Warrenville South junior running back Jake Arthurs (5-foot-10, 187 pounds) had a strong 2018 junior season for the Tigers and head coach Ron Muhitch. Arthurs has also started to draw more recruiting news and attention this winter and recaps his latest recruiting news here.

"We started seeing some college coaches in school lately," Arthurs said. "I've been just working in the weight room lifting with the team along with working with Acceleration working on my overall speed."

Arthurs recapped his latest recruiting news.

"Illinois State was in school not too long ago and they invited me to a junior day. I've also been in contact with the coaches from Northwestern, NIU and also Minnesota. Illinois State, SIU and Northwestern have also been following me on Twitter."

Arthurs is also hoping to make a few college visits soon.

"I know that I'm going to Illinois State soon for a junior day visit. I'm also planning to go to Northwestern for either a junior day or a spring practice visit this spring."

Arthurs, who is also a very strong student in the class room filled us in on what his focus has been in trying to improve his game this winter.

"I definitely want to keep my speed while also adding a bit more strength. I'm also working on just improving my overall quickness and having better reaction time. I'm also always working on being a better every down back and I feel that my versatility is one of my strengths."

Arthurs is also excited for his 2019 senior season.

"We bring back a few starters on the offensive line and we will have a decent amount of starters back on offense. I'm really excited to get back out there for my senior season."
