RB Skokna impresses at camps

Hinsdale (Ill.) Central senior running back recruit Luke Skokna (5-foot-9, 173 pounds) has been very impressive so far this summer at a handful of recent college one day camps. Skokna added recent camp offers from North Dakota and WIU and recaps his latest camps and recruiting news here.

"Both North Dakota and Western Illinois have offered me after camps," Skokna said. "The college one day camps have been going well. I tested well and ran some good 40 times which definitely got the attention of more college coaches."

Skokna recapped his recent college camp travels.

"I've been able to camp so far at Ball State, North Central College and also the Northwestern Showcase camp on Saturday. The Ball State camp was back on June 1st and that camp also went really well. The Ball State coaches said they would stay in contact with me and that I've been able to get on several coach recruiting radar screens this summer. Most of the schools are recruiting me as more of a slotback."

So which camps are up next for Skokna?

"I'm heading to NIU on June 13th for a camp along with the Lake Forest satellite camp on Saturday. I might also go to Illinois State for a camp on June 25th. I've also been in contact with several Ivy League schools along with Holy Cross. I'm planning to head out East in July and visit and camp at a few Ivy League schools along with getting out to Holy Cross. I visited Holy Cross back in the spring and I really liked it and I'm also looking harder at Holy Cross."

Skokna is also excited to start his team camp today.

"We start tam camp on Monday and I'm excited to get back at it. We had a really young team last year and we bring back a lot of kids. Everyone is working hard and they key will be getting our focus on the team and on the season. We have a good team coming back and we have a chance to making a big run this season."

Luke Skokna has scholarship offers from North Dakota, Western Illinois, Northern Michigan and Minnesota State.
