Bolingbrook (IL) junior running back recruit Brandon Walters (6-foot-0, 170 pounds) was able to add his first offer on Wednesday when West Point extended his an offer. Walters discusses adding his first offer from Army and much more in this latest recruiting update.

"Coach Waugh from Army was in school and watched one of our workouts," Walters said. "I called up Coach later in the day and that's when Army offered me and it's pretty exciting."

Walters talked about adding his first offer from Army.

"I know that West Point is one of the most prestigious schools in the nation. They also have a huge rivalry with Navy and Air Force. I'm also aware of the military obligation after you graduate from West Point for at least five years. I want to do more research on them because I'm very interested."

Has Walters, who is an excellent student in the class room ever consider going the service academy route for college?

"I actually have before any of them showed recruiting interest. I talked with my parents about some of the pro's and con's of going to a service academy in the past."

So who else has been showing recruiting interest in Walters?

"As of today Air Force, Navy, Harvard, Cornell and Dartmouth along with North Dakota State and SIU have all been in touch and also in school this spring. They all want me to camp this summer. Right now I'm signed up for the Northwestern camp and I'll probably do the North Central College satellite as well. The NCC camps will have a lot of coaches there plus it's really close to home."

Brandon Walters has a scholarship offer from West Point.
