RB Williams Jr. showed well

Bolingbrook junior three star ranked running back recruit Anthony Williams Jr. (6-foot-0, 195 pounds) took part in back to back showcase camps this weekend. Williams Jr. was at The Opening on Saturday in Ohio then was back in Northbrook on Sunday for the Under Armour regional camp. Williams Jr. recaps his camp travels and more in this update.

"The Opening camp in Ohio on Saturday went really well," Williams Jr. said. "I had a really high SPARQ score and the competition level was strong. I also thought I did well in the drills and the one on ones."

So after a strong showing on Saturday at The Opening, why come back the very next day to go hard again at the Under Armour camp?

"I'm just trying to get some exposure and also get invited to the All American game. I just love to go out and compete and it's always fun. These camp also feature some good talent and it's good to just see how I do again those kids."

Williams Jr. has also started to draw some new recruiting interest from a handful of new schools.

"Syracuse was in school last week and they seem more interested. The same with Eastern Kentucky and a few others. It's been a lot of coaches in school over the last few weeks and it's been hard to just keep track of exactly who's been into school lately."

Has Williams Jr. begun to look any harder at his offers and college options yet?

"I'm still pretty wide open for now. I still want to see what a lot of other schools plan to do and I'm still talking to a lot of coaches this spring. I'm looking at maybe looking harder at everything and then making a decision sometime in the next month or two."

Williams Jr. is also considering attending a few college one day camps this summer.

"A lot of coaches have asked me to camp this summer. I'm gonna probably go to Michigan State for a camp. And Penn State."

Williams Jr. is also excited about his upcoming senior season.

"I think we are gonna be good. We have a good offensive line and a good defense along with a good group of kids coming back who played a lot last season."

Anthony Williams Jr. has multiple scholarship offers.
