S Garlisch adds another offer
St. Charles (Ill.) East senior defensive back recruit Nick Garlisch (5-foot-11, 185 pounds) was able to add his third offer so far this summer when Southern Illinois University extended Garlisch an offer after evaluating him at the recently held Northwestern Showcase camp.
"I went to Northwestern on Friday for the showcase camp," Garlisch said. "The camp had a ton of college coaches watching and SIU pulled me over and offered me a scholarship."
Garlisch talked about his thoughts on adding his latest offer from the in-state SIU Salukis.
"I was able to talk to the head coach (Nick Hill) from SIU a bit. SIU plays in the Missouri Valley Conference which is a great football conference. I'm also planning to major in engineering and SIU offers an engineering degree. I'll definitely learn more about SOIU soon and I'm hoping to get a chance to go visit them sometime soon."
Garlisch, who has camped so far this summer at North Central College satellite camp and the Northwestern Showcase discussed what's up next.
"I'm planning to camp at NIU this Wednesday, and I'm also set to camp at Illinois State on July 5th. I'm also planning on heading out East and getting out to see Columbia and Yale this summer. I'm also looking at getting out to Western Michigan for a camp."
Garlisch is also excited to start his team camp today.
"We start our team camp on Monday and everyone is really excited to get going. We have some kids back with experience and the younger guys are also a pretty strong group."
Nick Garlisch has scholarship offers from SIU, WIU and Soiuth Dakota State.
