TE Marcotte has an early favorite

Mt. Carmel (Ill.) junior tight end recruit Jackson Marcotte (6-foot-7, 220 pounds) has steadily seen his football recruiting process pick up so far this spring. Marcotte checks in and talks about his recent offer and more in this update.

"I added an offer from Illinois State maybe three weeks ago," Marcotte said. "I went and visited Illinois State while I was on spring break and overall it was a good visit and a good experience."

Marcotte, a two sport standout (football/basketball) for the Golden Aces was also able to make a spring break visit to Wyoming.

"I also went out to visit Wyoming on my spring break. My older sister lives in Denver so I stayed with here and Wyoming was only like an hour and a half away so it worked out well. Wyoming was awesome. I just loved it and I had a great visit. Wyoming offered me pretty early on and I was able to talk with the coaches at Wyoming and I also saw the campus and all the football facilities. It's just an amazing place and Wyoming is my early favorite so far."

Marcotte has also started to draw new recruiting looks this spring.

"Both Western Michigan and Air Force have been in touch. They both want me to come visit them in person and they also have invited me to go to one day camps."

Does Marcotte have any college camp plans set?.

"So far I'm planning to camp this summer with Western Michigan and I might also camp with Toledo. Toledo has also been in touch lately. I'm also planning to go to SIU for it's annual quarterbacks camp."

Marcotte is also juggling AAU basketball this spring along with hitting the weight room preparing for the summer camps.

"I'm still playing AAU basketball this spring and summer and I've also been back in the weight room since basketball season ended."

Jackson Marcotte has scholarship offers from Wyoming, Illinois State and Southern Illinois University.
