Did you know...that Bishop McNamara Hall of Fame head coach Rich Zinnani will begin his 42nd season coaching the Fightin Irish in 2016? Zinanni has posted an impressive 334-127 record in 41 years along with winning 5 IHSA state football titles.
Top Impact Player for Bishop McNamara in 2016? Take your pick between Western Michigan pledges WR/DB Chris Bell or OL/DL Dylan Deatherage. Both are long time varsity starters for Bishop McNamara and both will be asked to provide senior leadership on and off the field.
Biggest Concern heading into 2016? Can the Fightin Irish replace a ton of graduated offensive production with the loss of RB Jonathon Ward (Central Michigan) along with QB Koby Shutter.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2016 Bishop McNamara Fightin Irish? Bishop Mac just steamrolled to the 3A state title last fall and this 2016 team at least has some pieces in place to make another run. The biggest challenge for the Irish could be surviving a regular season schedule that includes the addition of 8A sized Bolingbrook among others. If the Irish can get to 5 plus wins and a state playoff bid, they are always very capable of running the table. Also some of the Irish luck wouldn't hurt in the depth/avoiding injury factor as well.
EDGYTIM's Way Too Early regular season record prediction for Bishop McNamara? 7-2/6-3
