2016 Metamora Redbirds Summer/7on7 plans

Did you know...that Metamora head coach Pat Ryan is entering his 27th season as the Redbirds head coach? Ryan has a 244-60 overall record at Metamora and has won two state titles (2009/2007) and has placed second in state four times (2008/2000/1999/1997 and 1996).

Top Impact Player for Metamora in 2016? The Redbirds always have hard nosed/tough kids and look towards senior TE/DL Austin Wallace as a big time name to watch in 2016. Wallace will be asked to provide leadership on both asides of the ball. Wallace is also a name to watch this coming summer on the college camp circuit.

Biggest Concern heading into 2016? The Redbirds have a good amount of returning starters back for the 2016 season, yet who becomes the quarterback? Year in and year out...if you give Pat Ryan a strong line and a few productive backs Metamora will win games, yet if to really want the Redbirds to make noise they will need a strong leader and athlete under center.

EDGYTIM's Way Too Early Take on the 2016 Metamora Redbirds? Metamora and Washington has been the team to beat in the Mid Illini over the past several seasons and I don't see that changing too much in 2016. If the Redbirds can survive a pretty tough early schedule they have a chance to make another showdown with the Panthers in Week 4 one of the top games to watch in Central Illinois this season.

EDGYTIM's Way Too Early regular season record prediction for Metamora? 7-2
