Tez talks USC visit

Chicago (Ill.) Simeon five star ranked defensive end prospect Martez Wilson (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) learned firsthand the meaning of California cool this past weekend. Wilson made his first official visit to the University of Southern California this past weekend, and Tez fills us in on his impressions of his Trojans official visit and much more in this recruiting update.
"I got back this evening from my official visit to USC," Wilson said. "I had a really good time this weekend. It was a lot to take in over the weekend, but I got a much better idea about USC football and the school in general. I have a better feel for the school and the facilities and I was taken care of very well all weekend long."

Wilson talked about what stood out on his official visit to Southern Cal.
"The weather and the beach was definitely nice. It's hard to beat the weather out in California. I also really enjoyed getting a chance to just hang out with some of the players and getting to know them better. My player host for the weekend was linebacker Josh Tatum and I got along with him and the rest of the players at USC really well. It was just a really good visit. A lot of people have been asking me how I liked it and to compare it on a scale from 1 to 10. This was my first visit so it's hard to compare it to anything just yet. I was treated just great all weekend long. I had great food and meals all weekend long. Some of the players took me to Roscoe's Waffles and Chicken and that's a pretty famous place and the food was amazing. I also had dinner at a place in the Staples Center which was cool. I also had a chance to hang out in Hollywood and it was something you just won't forget about anytime soon."
Wilson also came away impressed with the Trojans program after his official visit.
"I had a chance to really get to experience the game day atmosphere at USC and it was pretty special. The stadium was sold out and the team played really well beating Notre Dame. It was just a really exciting atmosphere for a college game. I also really liked the team meetings before the game. It just was much different that anything I expected. The USC guys really get cranked up before the game. I was expecting the team to be really quiet and they are just the opposite, which I really liked. It got me even fired up for the game. I also had a chance to really get to know my position coach Ken Norton Jr., who's the linebacker coach at USC. He's played in the NFL and he's someone that I can see working with every day in practice. USC is recruiting me as a SAM linebacker and I'm cool with that, and coach Norton would be the kind of coach who could get me to the next level."
Wilson will now head to South Bend this Friday for an official visit with the Fighting Irish.
"I'm heading to Notre Dame this weekend for an official visit. I'm going to Ohio State on December 8th and then to Michigan on December 15th. I'm also going to set an official visit to Illinois on January 19th. I'm just going to take my official visits and see how things go from there."
Wilson might also wait until after the US Army All American Bowl to make his final college choice.

When I'm ready to decide on my final choice I'll know and then I'll announce my decision. I just don't want to rush this important decision at all."Here to view this Link.
