Watch List: Derek Wentworth
Minooka (Ill.) junior OL/DL prospect Derek Wentworth (6-foot-4, 275 pounds) is a name to watch in the Class of 2018 in the State of Illinois. Get to know this latest prospect to watch here.
"The summer has been going well," Wentworth said. "I've been just working out and getting ready for the season. We don't get going with our team camp until July so it's just workouts and getting ready for the season right now."
Wentworth, who also wrestles at Minooka talked about his latest recruiting news.
"We had a lot of college coaches in school in the spring. Illinois, NIU and a lot of the in-state FCS schools seem to be the most interested. I would say that my dram school would be Nebraska. My grandpa lives in Nebraska and I've always have rooted for the Cornhuskers."
Wentworth talked about his strengths on the field and more.
"I try hard to be a good team leader and I'm a take charge kind of guy. I have pretty good quickness for my size and good strength. I'm always working hard to improve my strength and to just be more agile and more fluid."
Wentworth is also excited for the upcoming 2016 season.
"We have a chance to have a really good year. We bring back some really good players and everyone has been working hard."
