Watch List: WR Jacob Bostick

Palatine (Ill.) junior wide receiver prospect Jacob Bostick (6-foot-2, 165 pounds) played last season for crosstown rival Fremd, but has since moved across town and is now attending school at Palatine High School. Bostick checks in and recaps his latest recruiting news and more in this latest recruiting update.

"My family was able to find a new house in Palatine that they loved," Bostick said. "It was a tough decision but it's what's best for my family. I already knew some of the Palatine guys already and I was starting to really fit in with the team this summer in camp."

Bostick, who had an impressive showing at the summer's Rise and Fire camp discussed his latest football recruiting news.

"I've been getting some recruiting interest from schools like Ball State and North Dakota. My Dad has also heard from the coaches from Kent State, Central Michigan, Akron, Toledo, Western Michigan along with North Dakota, Youngstown State and also SIU."

Did the IHSA's decision to move the football season from the fall to the spring surprise Bostick?

"That was a tough day when the IHSA announced the season being moved. The first week or so after the announcement was hard, and that wasn't a good feeling at all. I'm just going to trust in God's plan and go back to work with my new team. I'm going to keep a positive attitude and look forward to football in the spring."

Bostick, who also runs track discussed what part of his game he's been focused on improving this extended off season.

"I've been working on improving my overall route running, my footwork along with just getting stronger."

Could track also play a role in Bostick's college plans?

"I really enjoy both sports but football is my love and my dream is to play D1 football someday."
