LaGrange Park (Ill.) Lyons Township senior three star ranked quarterback recruit Ben Bryant (6-foot-3, 195 pounds) has given the Cincinnati Bearcats his verbal commitment. Bryant talks about his decision here.
"It was a much harder decision this time around compared to the first time I committed," Bryant said. "When I committed the first time (to Wisconsin) I had two options. This time around I had a lot of options and some great offers, but Cincinnati is the best place for me."
Bryant, who originally committed to Wisconsin last fall before having his offer rescinded by the Badgers talked about what sold him on Cincinnati.
"I went and visited Cincinnati with Jayshon (Jackson) about a month ago and I had a really good time. Cincinnati has a lot to offer. I really liked the campus and they also have great facilities. The coaches have a ton of experience and Cincinnati is a program that is ready to really do some great things. It's also a good roster situation at Cincinnati and I'm just really excited about my decision."
So did Bryant look harder at any other schools?
"My Top 4 schools list was Cincinnati along with Western Michigan, West Virginia and Syracuse. They all had a lot of things to offer but once I was able to see Cincinnati in person and get to know the coaches I knew that I wanted to play for the Bearcats."
Bryant is also thrilled to have made his college decision and move forward this summer.
"I've put the whole Wisconsin deal behind me and I'll stand my statement that I sent out on my Twitter account about the entire ordeal. I had some great offers and options and it was a great problem to have. I can just focus now on my team this summer and having a great senior season."
Ben Bryant is verbally committed to Cincinnati.
